4Ever Frenchies
Pulling from the image, I decided to go with a blue-grey and white. The client wanted the number four to stand out so I designed it to look like a toy ball that the dog might be playing with. For the typeface, they wanted an old-style type and so I went with one that had the most clarity and thicker strokes, Gabriola regular.
Type & Color.
A local family-oriented French Bulldog breeder reached out to me asking for help developing a logo for their new website. They had an existing website for Labrador Retrievers and wanted a separate space for their Frenchies. The client expressed that the male stud, Louie, was their pride and joy and wanted to design the logo after him. I then acquired some photos and chose one to model the design after.
Initial ideas.
Final Logo.
After a few tweaks when discussing the design with the client, we settled on this final design. I learned a lot from this project, like how to communicate design choices, how to better use the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator, and how to export my designs to various formats. I also quickly learned which file formats work best for the web, such as using a PNG versus a PDF for print. The clients and I both were very happy with how it turned out.
