When planning the website, I decided to prioritize featuring the event details and adding a sign-up button at the top. I also aimed to include links to my Facebook and Instagram for people to stay updated as the event date approaches.

While I was diligently organizing an impactful event to raise awareness for the alarming rise of pet poisoning cases in my hometown, I felt compelled to initiate the creation of a user-friendly website. This platform would serve as a convenient hub, enabling concerned individuals to effortlessly register themselves to participate in the upcoming walk-a-thon event.

Problem & Solution

To ensure harmonious alignment with the event's color scheme and theme, I opted for the consistent inclusion of vibrant yellow, soft pink, pristine white, and bold black hues, alongside the elegant Raleway Typeface family. This deliberate choice served to uphold a cohesive and captivating visual narrative throughout the entirety of the event.

Color & Type

In these sketches, I meticulously narrowed down what information was pertinent to the event, carefully considering how to streamline the process. Understanding that no one likes to spend excessive time filling out forms, I purposefully designed this one to be straightforward, user-friendly, and effortlessly completed, ensuring a hassle-free experience for all.

Results & Looking Ahead

Ultimately, I successfully made a website for pet owners in Redding to easily sign up for the event and stay updated. I added a section that directly connects to the event's Instagram and Facebook pages. The site design makes it easily recognizable to users who visit from other places. Also, there's a short video of the current site. I'm planning to add a section called "Our Partners" with links and logos for sponsors after confirming them.
