Social Media Photography

Thoughtful Thrift.

Photography for social media should stand out, have a cohesive aesthetic, and a clear message. Whether you’re posting to Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, or some other social media platform, it’s also important that you are conveying the same message across mediums. For demonstration purposes, below I have composed, edited, and posted images for a baby boutique that is trying to drive customers to their store location.

There are two color filters I created in Adobe Lightroom that I used, alternating, for each image: yellow and pink. These color filters allow for the images to feel like they are derived from the same business and as you build your image library, you also connect to your brand. Copy type for the images is just as important when it comes to social media and the messaging should not only align with your images, but enhance them with tags, information, and sometimes even some humor.
